Hmm. Having just gotten a dvd drive, I popped in Holy Grail to try to rip the sounds, but my audio is all distorted, everything sounds digitized, people talking sound like robots

Playing movies off my hard drive sounds fine, but dvd's are all messed up. Anybody have any idea what could be happening? All drivers are updated and everything.

Hmm, off the top of my head, have you checked to make sure DMA is enabled on the drive? And what DVD software are you using?
