Does this do anything? I don't see a huge difference in tarrifs / tax revenue from one city that is +21 with me to a city that is +1. Also what are the req to become marshall? I currently have 1600 reknown, 0 controversy, +99 faction relation to my faction and +80 relation to my king. I've read several different things and I'm trying to get the right one. Oh yea I have over 300 played days in my current campaign.

City relations will give you favorable prices on all transactions, though I'm not sure exactly what the formula is.

If you have negative relations you can't start a business there either.

Oh, for marshall you might be missing honour? I think I recall reading somewhere that is a big factor

Also if your current marshall is doing a good job your King is unlikely to sack him. Marshalls only change when the current marshall comes into disrepute.

City relations only seem to affect prices.
