City/castle Garrison strength

How to check enemy city/castle garrison strength? I try to sent spy but it does nothing at all.
Any idea beside joining the faction owner?

Send in a spy. Then check "Spy report" ind the reports section (usually takes a day until the spy provides information about the garrison strength).

Or check info on the town under locations (if you have a spy there).

Bit confused, so i need to send a spy, wait a day, after that when i call back he/she will give me report? or after a day even if i don't call the spy back, i can see the town garrison?

You don't call back the spy - unless of course you no longer wish info on the location.
Just go to notes > locations and check the castle/town. If you have a spy there you can see info on garrison.

It's meant to be more realistic - that you can't magically see through walls.

I always call them back before and expect when they got back, they will give me report
