As much as I dislike the pretentiousness of the "We need to have weapons to defend ourselves because a 230 year old piece of paper signed by a bunch of hypocrites in wigs has an amendment that says so, and that's why", I must admit that gun-related crimes here have gone up a lot since we decided to participate in the Schengen Agreement - these are 99% illegal firearms, mind you. The hunting and sporting weapons we DO have available here are not very attractive to criminals, and far too hard to acquire. Still, home invasions have been occurring a lot lately, and I wonder when the Danish people will be allowed to defend itself. Not with firearms, but at least with pepper sprays and other non-lethal weapons.

As a gun toting, American Sociopath... Okay yeah even I say we should have limits. Since the end of the previous firearm restriction law some people who don't need guns have gotten them, and some people who didn't need 20 shot clips for their .40 cal hand-cannons (Like my father) got those too. Thats the limit though; restrictions on what you can get. Because while I personally believe in owning of firearms (Even if I'm biased, collecting shotguns as I do), I don't think you should be able to get your hands on some peripherals (IE: Silencers, extended clips, night vision sights, etc.).
