So is this Mod still on track for the Christmass release.Atleast version 4.6.

4.5.7 is still too buggy and i love this game.It will be the only mod that i play on regular mount and blade.1st you can perfect regular mount and blade then port it to warband.

So Again is it still on track for Christmass this year?

How should I put it...

We ARE working on a new, nigh bug-free version, with additional quests, dialogs etc. and adding the Boar Clan as a 7th, unique "guild".

BUT: family issues prevent Cyclohexane from finishing his part before Christmas. Kuba and myself are doing well, but without Cyclo we can't finish things. Also, once we put everything together we'd still take a week or two for testing to see if all works fine.

SO: it will be a late, very late gift. But at least you'll get it when it's due. I'd say if all goes well, a release can be expected sometimes in January, but I couldn't say an exact date.

Hope this answers all  :???:

That's a relief
I'd hate to leave my actual campaign unfinished ... and I'd simply have to if there was a release this week.

Cerce, two weeks is barely enough to learn anything more than the very basics (except if you totally lack an outdoor life and are exceptionally talented), let alone actually contribute anything of decent value. Also, I don't think either of us will have the time/patience to nurture a beginner modder while we're hard at work ourselves.

No offense meant of course.

In any case, if you wish to learn, I'd suggest a visit to "The Forge - Mod Development" section of the forum, where you can get all the help you need -->  http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,64.0.html

Eh, fair enough.  I'll try my hand at a minor mod or working with another new modder to get some experiance under my belt.  Hope I can help after I learn a bit.  Good luck to ya!

SoD will need a good modder to port it to warband (Computica is already working on it, but I think an additional modder would be helpful), since I'm planning to retire after this version is released. Contact us after you learned the basics

I finished this mod, beat the enemies, now i'm just roaming, boring unless the modders can give us an add on like an other invasion?warband may be the same, this mod is fab, lets hope

A 2nd Invasion could be pretty easy to implement. It could work just like the legion does.

Yeah, If we had someone who could be good at python code like Kuba that would ease a lot of the difficulties on me. M&B & Warband Source codes are entirely different from one another; and for each you have to know like the back of your hand...

Thanks for the replys.I cant wait for this mods to come out.

Me neither! But damn this is a hard one. I have trouble with regular M&B, and there I don't have to worry about the Legion!

So hey, something that I've been wondering ever since I got Warband. I noticed there was a ingame cinematic when you marry. Is it possible to add pre-recorded cinematics to the game and then have them play?
For example:
-You pick a culture and after you've made your character you get a short cutscene showing off your faction's troops. (Rome Total War style)

@Eligar: it may be possible for Warband, but it's absolute impossibility for Native MnB. At least if there would be a way, I'm sure others would have found it already.

Besides, there's already a Strategy Advisor companion in-game (from v4.5 onwards if I remember well) who you can chat with and learn what your and other civilizations excel/suck at. :???:

We could make a starting scene where the Player has just arrived to the shores of Calradia and his/her soldiers are packing out their belongings from ships/boats, and the Player could walk around and talk with others. Once the player leaves the area, the scene will never be back. Would be a nice way to set the initial mood, but beside that, not much use. Also, it would take quite some additional time to implement (especially for me, writing texts for each and every single character and troop type for the scene would be simply ridiculous amount of work).

It may seem redundant to keep thanking you for all the work being done on this mod, but it really means a lot to see all this work done.

After seeing pointless feuds develop over scintilla of authenticity for some of the historical mods, it is nice to have a mod completely uninterested in authenticity and strongly interested in an engaging story and outstanding ideas.  Thanks for all the cool stuff, folks, whenever you get it out the door.

P.S.: Please keep the jackal hat, because there is no boogie jackal hat, without a jackal hat!

Aaah I see. Well thanks for the reply!
