Ok, i know i sound like a pervert,
which im not but
is there any way to have a child/children. It would be good so that you could like train them or teach them and stuff like that

TY

this isn't the sims. besides, raising a child would take a lot more time (in game days) than anyone wants to play

Wow i was the first to say who cares!!

Don't they teach you these things in school?

Oh yeah I remember, *shudder*.... THEY DREW PICTURES REPRESENTING BODY PARTS AND WHERE THEY GO!!! I remember i was a little kid...and everybody was staring at the teacher not moving.... (again little kids not teens or preteens, kids.) (in case your wondering im 12 now)

It could be brought in nicely like total war - If you made nobles able to die there son would take there place and only then so it isnt crowded and a noble cant die till he has a son. And eventually different character traits n stuff.

Actually some of my oldies died without a son/daughter. But yea they should have different character traits (n stuff).

But like the sims, maybe the younger it is the faster it grows (baby-toddler takes 3 days, child-teen takes 7 days (i don't really know exactly and this is for sims)). Maybe you can also get an option to take it with you in battle, marry it to a lord/lady, 'disipline' it or sell it to slavery! Although there could also be a penalty or something, for example: If you want to have a baby your 'immortality' disappears and if you get K.O'd  it's permanent. So say it's 3 years old, the game skips or something until it's 16 (when it comes of age) and you can play as it, although in between the 13 years (the 'skip') the map/lords etc. has changed so some previously Swadian castles turn into (god forbid!) Khergit castles. Or if it's already 16+ years old you take immediate control of it.

Features of children: if you take it with you into battle it stays on the outskirts of the actual battle/it fights with/for you but it can get K.O'd quickly (must be at least 16 to battle). You can marry it off for political advantages. You can 'disipline' it in 2 ways-the Spartan way or the behaviour way, the Spartan way increases its battle stats while the behaviour way increases it's non-battle skills. You can sell it to slavery using Ramun and get 50 gold coins (more or less cos it's a kid).

These are just semi-random ideas so don't troll on me.

Being asexual, I prefer that my video games pretend that sex doesn't exist.

However, besides that, I don't think it'd be a good addition to the game. Having young children would add no value. While you might get benefits from having an heir (e.g. Right to rule) you would need to care for that child, which would be negative for gameplay, or if you ignored childcare it would be weird and affect the suspension of disbelief. Children aging at a normal pace is impractical, children aging rapidly would affect the suspension of disbelief.

All in all, a lot of work for something that wouldn't improve the game, in my opinion.

You do know that back then the fathers never took care of their children right? It was done by the mothers.

The exceeding arrow 说:
if they are ever to be implemented i would pit 2 children against each other with knifes.
I'd pit them against each other with no weapons at all! Let them fight, literally, tooth and nail so that the sole survivor is definetely the stronger one!

You do know that many players play a female character right?

You know ariscrate even these days don't raise there owen children thay hire nanys, and nurses. in fact in game when you visit a lady she is in the company of a nurse.
Adding children to the game would be about the same has adding wives was. Unnessary fluff that some people like outhers ignore. With in game pacing the child would never grow past todler age.
my longist game every was just over 2 years. How ever unless it was added in a mod I don't see this happaning.

Like I said before: Sim growth speed. And why isn't it in any mod?

M&B could be a lot more interesting with children, but some other features would have to be changed or added to make it work. For example:
A lot shorter in-game days (which would also make the world bigger)
Battles taking game-time even when the player is in them (perhaps by adding a waitting sequence after each round)
A possibility of waiting a month or week at a time during peacetime
and so on.
A great side-effect of incorporating children in the gameplay is that all characters could be killable and aging. When you've played for 20 years half of the aging lords have retired or fallen in battle and have been replaced by their heirs, and when your own character starts to get old and frail you can retire from adventuring and continue playing as your original character's heir. In my meaning this would add a lot of depth to the game, both considering diplomacy and role-playing.

Do you mean people back then died without a son and daughteR? if you do then what i mean is if u made them able to die without a son eventually all nobles would be dead. And if u made them able to have as many as they want the game would become to crowded as  KING HARLOUS WOULD HAVE 99 KIDS AS HE ONLY FEASTS !!!!

Unless one of the straits is cannibalism then wed be fine

Or we can JUST make the child grow up faster until he's of age (16) and can be normal when compared to other lords etc.

I'm not even going to attempt to answer that.

i dont mean like you see it, i mean like you try for one in a town/castle and then after a month their 13 or something like that.

I don't stay in the castle often enough and long enough. I would be furious if suddenly she said we have a child.

The game would have to skip like 18 in game years for you, I only have one save and I cant remember how many days but I know I've been on it for 200+ hrs and it's only been 2 years.

That's 100 hours per year. If you don't like the game enough to play for 1800+ hours then you should probably be in a mental institution.
