Just sold.. it was a way to represent "semi-valuable stuff", which is silverware, ceramics,  holy objects, ornate dinnerware, and the like.  The general loot that someone would gather if they raided a village.

It's a lot easier to have just one item to loot and sell, since of that annoying 916 in game item limit. Qualis Gems are the only think that you should NEVER sell if you find one, everything else is fair game.

does anyone know if that chest in rane or valonbray will dump anything you put in it, can you use it for storage? right now i am testing the idea with smoked fish, for one month the fish are still there. i`m just wondering if this would make a good storage chest or not.

I am trying it too, but fear that it might set up the processing of the goddies given by the maps.

I do know that once you have a castle you do have a chest (each castle has a chest). However I'd love the idea of being able to rent a room in a tavern and storing stuff on that premises (goods, horses etc). I don't think that in world like Pendor anyone rides around with 100K's of Denars either; so I adopted the financial behaviour of the three musceteers of Dumas; burning it the fastest way possible. (I arrived even to buy wine and throw it after a couple of days).

I don't like to loose a cluster of 20K of denars to some 'smelling demons.

It's supposed to just add the items to the contents of the chest, not overwrite them, so as long as you don't fill the chest you should be able to use it.  Assuming it works as designed, of course.

Just don't go nuts filling it up, Saxondragon posted a list of all the stuff that could possible spawn, and it's pretty long.  If the RNG decides to love you the chest could fill more than half up with free loot
