Cheatmenu comands not working?

Ok so I just found out about the ctrl+~ cheatmenu thing and am trying to get the Rhodooks to take some Swadia land so that later I can take it  but whenever I tell the lords to do stuff they move in the towns direction for like two seconds and then go back to what they were doing before, which was nothing.

I once got a lordto make it to Dirhim but when he got there he attacked, didn't do any fighting to try and take the town but went to a village and was mobbed by several Swadia lords which I told to go to the feast at Praven, which I told them to start...

So is there anyway to fix the cheatmenu commands to override what the AI's commands making the cheatmenu commands useful for more then items that are hard to find? Also is there anyway to upgrade the items in the cheatmenu so it isn't just all the average versions of the items?

The wall of text is unappealing and make me not want to answer you.

Make it into section and paragraphs to make it easier to read.

But from what I know, no, the console doesn't really allow any of that.

Any better? Then why have those commands in there when they only work at random? Just seems like a kick in the nuts to have the commands to control the factions at will but the commands don't fully work...

Its the cheat command though, I wouldn't think that matters, will test that out. Also they agreed only in the CHEAT version of suggest an action. According to my political stuff Swadia wants peace but the Rhodooks are still willing to fight so it isn't like I'm telling them to deny Swadia's peace offer, which they might do anyway.

EDIT: After I tell him to go, I ask him what he's doing and he says he's attacking but has matters back home to attend to soon... Too bad the command doesn't give him tunnel vision...
I finally got him there, babysat him the entire way, and while he's besieging, Swadia wants peace and it gets accepted, so going to start a new game and tell them to swarm the land I want at the beginning.

is there a way to turn the cheatmenu thing off? its really anooying and i only used it 2 get mod items

Also quitting the game deactivates it. (as for the text spam you can turn them off in the camp cheatmenu, toggle debug messages)

You could just start a game, join the Rhodoks, take all the land, rebel or renounce your vassalage, join the Swadians, take the land.

closing the game does not deactivate it since cheatmenu is saved into your savegame.

toggling debug messages to 'none' will also not display damage dealt, casualties, shot difficulty, etc.

the only successful way of turning it off is to use nocheatmenu (but besides Devil Keyz, i dont think that's what this thread is about haha)

It's because the game resets what the lords should be doing. Every time it happens, you can see some text come up that talks about what the factions are planning. As soon as it pops up the lords stop what they are doing and do whatever the faction plan tells them to do. I noticed that this seems to happen at night and in the morning.

If you want to order them to attack a lord, then tell them to do it by using the cheat menu, and then follow them. When they turn around after the reset happens, just order them to do it again, and they will continue what they were doing. Getting them to attack an enemy lord is really the only thing you can do, since telling them to siege a castle or town will take to long (it will be reset before the siege is ready).

My "nocheatmenu" isn't working at all. Any suggestions?

you still need cheats enabled (checkmarked) in the window where you first open warband.

cheatmenu and nocheatmenu dont work in mods.

nocheatmenu only works in versions after 1.112

backup your saves and reinstall 1.113 if any of the above didnt answer your question.
