Northen Plated Gloves and Northern Sloven Leather do not play nice together

Either item looks fine matched with other items, but when I equip both that is the result.

This issue also happens when paired with the common worn civilian leather gloves on a woman, so presumably the issue is either with the Sloven armor alone or with some interaction between their borders.
