I will do my best to detail exactly what happened to lead up to the point of this bug.
1. I was fighting a battle and had a runtime error that came up which said something about skeleton.diz or something. I tried to get a screenshot or write it down, but my computer restrated before I was able to catalogue it. When the error popped up it said, ABORT, RETRY or IGNORE. I hit the RETRY button in hopes that it would do something... which caused my system to restart.
2. As soon as the machine came back up, I restarted Mount & Blade. I loaded my saved game and played for about 20 minutes. When I hit "Save & Exit" it took me to the proper screen to "Exit to Windows". I hit "Exit to Windows" and soon after I pressed the button my machine restarted again after hanging for a second and then going to a black screen for a moment.
3. After my system came back up again, I restarted Mount & Blade again and loaded my save game. When my save game came up, my character model had lost all of this customization, I lost all my armor and items, lost all my experience, skills, stats and weapon proficiencies. Also, it kept some of my troops, but only those that fit into the new (fewer) control slots after losing the skills points. Another notable thing is that my character started out exactly where he had left off in the map, but his inventory had been reset to the starting point. So he had all the starting equipment for a "Hunter".
ARMAGON: If you would like to see my "Save File" I can surely send it to you for review. Let me know if you would like to see it, or if there is a way of fixing it... not sure what is possible here.
