That's a damn sight perfect, just the look I had in mind, but the helm itself looks enough like a Norman helm with nasal guard to fit in with the Swadian stuff. Out of interest were you thinking of the faceguard being maille or scale?Jush 说:Had a good little run today, and here's what I'm thinking. It's just the model, no skin, but it'll give you an idea of what I had in mind as far as Slavic and Russian armor influence go. I just started it, so if you spot something that should be changed/improved, it's not too late to tell me.
Cheers Feerspoir. I think I've answered this on IRC, but for everyone else the Nords will be sticking to Norsemen, at least for the moment. This is because CatG is based on Native, and changing things for the sake of change would be a fairly pointless waste of what meagre resources we have, as well as being a radical change to the setting. However, my knowledge on Scandinavia after Hardrada is pretty scarce. Am I right in thinking that their style of warfare became more "Frankish" after his death, rather than viking? And if it did, would it be better to stick with the Viking theme that Native has going on or to change it, given that I did promise "a more consistent level of technology to Mount and Blade."Feerspoir 说:What about just discarding the Nords as a faction of "vikings" and changing it into an arab/berber/moor influenced one? Would be much more interesting in my humble opinion.

For those of you who haven't been lucky enough to hear it yet, take my word that it is awesome. Oh, and brutal.Pagan 说:DRAGONSHIPS has sailed for the Nords of Calradia.![]()

I'll take a look at the module system when we get it. In other words, nothing a bit of fiddling can't solveTriglav 说:Maybe a wrong thread for this, but since this mod is optimizing many things, here goes.
Is it possible to make the horse barding change colour according to your banner, like the shields and armours do?
Draconis Topmen 说:I know every moderator hates this question but is it out?
I am too, even though my knowledge of coding doesn't go much further than Winter's tutorials for PythonTriglav 说:I'm very curious what magic piece of code makes the specific piece of texture change accordingly.

Ok, I'll boost the abundancy of the helms in the next version. I don't want them to be very common though - after all, there wasn't a Tesco in medieval times where you could buy one off the shelf. As for the swords, the only thing I can of is that I set some of them as secondary weapons so that knights wouldn't pick them instead of lances. I'll see what I can do. Yes, I suppose it is too dark. In the next version I'll use the light mipmaps.Feerspoir 说:a) everything seems a little bit too dark;
b) I sometimes am unable to draw weapons in the middle of battle or in a tavern. As far as I have seen, this refers only to swords (maybe even specific swords?);
c) I'd say Khergit and and the new closed helms are a little bit too rare; only seen 1-2 of each after travelling and visiting all cities of Calradia, whereas kettle helmets are common enough (1 in every 2 cities).
The bastard swords are rare on purpose. Longswords were very uncommon during the period that I'm basing the technology on (1250s), and bastard swords were only really about "from roughly the early 15th century." As for the helmet, I'm not really sure what we can do.Suspect-Device 说:One slight aesthetic problem I have found, The great helm appears to be hovering slightly off the neck of my player.
I dont know if this only occurs with certain clothing, I was wearing mail and surcoat at the time.
Overall though, I like the mod, texture changes are nice although as stated before, certain items are rare, example, I traveled to pretty much all the cities and found but one bastard sword!

I can't think of anything that would have made that happen. Does Native work?tatai99 说:Hey when i start the game it restart my Pc why does this happen any idea?
