Hey Guys, sorry if this is in the wrong forum or if you have heard this question before (I searched for it but couldn't find any concrete tips)

Is there a way to change the music in the game so I could say replace a in game file with another file or possibly mix and mash some music like from say oblivion?

This may help:

Go to C:\ ... \Mount&Blade\Modules\[module name]\Music

Its Readme.txt says "You can place your module specific music files in this folder".

I don't know if you have to fiddle with module.ini, though. Never tried it yet.

This is easier way:
-convert your new music to mp3 format
-paste your new mp3 to C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\music
-rename your mp3 for example: fight_1, arena_1.... now you have duplicate, one is OGG and another MP3
-find in module you wish to change music, music.txt file, open it, rename for example line fight_1.ogg 5120 5120 to fight_1.mp3 5120 5120

Now you can choose what music you want to use for each situation
I think that adding new lines or put some music to play randomly is not good option.

Cool thanks for that I will try it

Also I was thinking, if I try Mp3s, will the game recognize and play that format since i know the developers may have had to buy a license to use a mp3 compression technology in their game. Oh and what do the numbers mean on the end of that text fight_1.ogg "5120 5120"

Any ideas?

it`s working with me, and about that numbers, I don`t know what they are jet

and about that numbers, I don`t know what they are jet

those numbers are generated by the module system.  They indicate sound volume, stereo or mono, priority, culture relationships, situations ( battle music, travel music, etc. ) whether the music plays entire song or just for as long as the scene lasts, and many more.
This information is available in the M&B Module System "header.music.py" file.
Even if you chose not to do any "major" modding, I recommend you dl the module system for the information you can obtain.
