Changing Mods For Different Versions

Is there a way of changing .903 version mods so they can work for 1.003 version? Like editing a text file?

No, that can't be done, unless you spend a huge amount of time 'porting'.
Basically you need to know how to use the module system and almost 'remake' the mod for the latest version.
I suggest looking for another mod and hope the makers of the mods will at some point port them to the latest version.
