The slow progress is famously known due to everything having to go through and be accepted by the founding father.

Something which happens a lot in smaller IT companies, as I see in Poland now, hopefully TW won't be stalled too much by it.

The only contact that many players have with Bannerlord at this point is entering the forum to see no new updates, other people complain and see if any new mod has come out

I haven't played in a bit, and I don't really post anymore because the game is not worth my time playing or thinking about anymore. The developers clearly don't give a damn about what the community expected years ago or currently expects. There is no evidence indicating they care in any way shape or form.

I think we have all forgotten that they have been thinking about and developing this game for years, YEARS. Its not just 8 months. The game is a testament to not only their lack of imagination and expertise, but also their complete disregard for the expectations of the community both in SP and MP.

We have no reason to think the game will get better in coming months before full release.

Given everything else in the game, simply consider how bland, boring, and stupid the rebellion mechanic will be, if it ever even gets implemented - LOL

Also consider, what is the point of a criminal underworld in the game's current state? We don't even have proper relations with AI lords that have impact on the game world. In fact, what the player does is not really recognized by the AI at all.

There is no sense of wonder or splendor in the game whatsoever.

I've concluded that Bannerlord is a shameless cash grab, a pitiful attempt to recoup all of their failed development expense. After 8 months, I don't know how you could see it any other way. And they already got all the money they are going to get for Bannerlord, so where is their incentive to do more or work harder? DLC - give me a break.

It is also reasonable to not agree, situations are usually more complicated than they appear on the surface, especially, when it comes to companies.

I guess that for a cash grab they would release it some years ago, maybe one game every year or two, based on original MB engine, improved in every iteration, but every time billed as new game. I really don't think that cash grab would have extensive modding tools allowing any random to create free game in a game that is purchased already.
Don't get me wrong, I know that they are not group of volunteers coding for free and I am intensively aware of game issues, but I don't agree with cashgrab opinion. If you would say that EA was a cashgrab - yeah, I could agree, they wanted some fanboy funding. I am not going to blame them for it though.

But that is just my opinion.

? Game is on track for full release after 1 year in EA. I'm quite happy that they are fleshing out & in some cases totally reworking some systems after receiving feedback from the playerbase. I don't think devs were happy with some systems on release and they were there as placeholders.

Eh, I went from posting constantly to hardly posting - which is a clear indication that I haven't been playing much or thinking about the game or posting much. Seems obvious to anyone with a functioning brain who can recognize simple patterns.

You mean like the skill perks? We were told they were placeholders, then got equally lame and lackluster ones.

More like never. They will release this game and hope the modders save it.

Yeah it def does not feel like Warband at all....lol get out of here xD And ive maybe seen very few fanboi messages here and there but they certainly isnt common,,,, So think people would have to re look what a fan boi really is, Or has it came to an point now when as soon as you think something is good youre a fanboi ? I'm Swedish but even my nationalistic aura doesn't condone studios like Paradox treatment of players when they later sell DLCs for 200 extra bucks to allow you a full experience of their base game.

If you bring that argument to their forums you'll never get out of there alive, they basically got books of pre-made and fact-based comments who will destroy any unfaithful. Enter the gates if you dare traveler.
