Chance's of a LAN game?

Users who are viewing this thread

What are the chance's a LAN option will be invented? I think it should be priority as soon as the crashing bug's are fixed.

I mean , For example - Vampire the masquerade : Redemption , Had a ton of people play it.

But the sequel , Made by a different company (troika) , Had no multiplayer. It had less then half as many people buy it.

I think to have multiplayer in this game would make it very popular , It would be one of the most brilliant Roleplaying MP game's ever. And that mean's more customer's.

Of course , It couldn't be added for a long time. But im simply asking , If it will *ever* be implemented?

LAN or Multiplayer would be great.

many people have suggested multiplayer. i don't expect it to ever be added, but LAN combat might be done. it would be cool, but it won't come for a long time, if at all. this idea still has a better chance of being implemented than true multiplayer. so its a possibility i think.

Well , to be honest , I couldn't give a stuff about multiplayer. But LAN would be great. Me and my dad are both medieval fan's , And medieval fighting fan's :P , I just want to play it with him. I think working together in a team would be great when 20 dark knight's are charging at you and your peasent's are cowering on the ground :P

but unless you're fighting the mag7 dark army without your own army, two player co-op becomes ub3r pwn4g3. seriously, humans just dominate too much to have a co-op without hugely increasing the number of enemies.

Hate to break it to you, but LAN = multiplayer. Not going to happen because it wasn't planned for from the start. Changing it now would be more involved than simply writing a whole new game.

Just look at how popular morrowind was/is. And it doesn't have multiplayer. Granted, all games benefit from having a multiplayer option, but it can be overlooked if other important game elements are present. And whatever this game lacks in the final release will no doubt be compensated for through use of the mod tools, just like morrowind. But i admit, cutting down a real player would make me very very happy

As much as I'd like to see multiplayer I am sick of seeing threads about this.

Keep it to one thread so half the forum users don't have to wade through a knee deep pile of forum repost excrement.

To be fair in Vampire: Bloodlines case the problem was moer than just lack of multiplayer.

something to do with the source engine used with none of Half life 2's options for performance leaving you with a game that lags on all but absolute ninja Pcs most of the time. I'd personally it being a game that can't get above 15fps on the average PC cost it more than the lack of multiplayer. But hell another 2 years when the average PC moves to that level and the typical gamer can play it at a reasonable level, it might get it's surge of popularity then.

I liked bloodlines more because it had a lot better feel to it. Like actually seeing an are bigger than 10 feet in all directions. Both were great though.
