Summary: There are some instances where chamber blocking does not work correctly . The weapons will visually pass through each other with no collision. I've posted a few examples below in slow motion of the cases I found, but there could be more.

Media (Screenshots & Video):
Chambering the shaft of a scythe works, but the head of the weapon does not have collision when attempting to chamber it.

Similarily, chambering the head of a spear does not have collision, only the shaft.

Sometimes, chambering a sword stab does not work as well.

While these video examples are from the Full Invasion 3 mod, it uses vanilla assets and combat and I repeated the results in vanilla single player.

Hey, our chamber block manuever is dependent on catching the sweetspot in tenth of a second with symmetrical move. You can not block a side sweep with an overhead attack or thrust. You need to apply the force from the same axis. I have been informed that this is the intended design. but our team will look into the issue anyway. Thank you for your time and sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you explain what the sweet spot is and how it differs between weapons? Also, what is the tenth of a second in relation to? In all of my testing, chamber timing varies depending on the speed of your weapon versus theirs, positioning, and the transition animation you are currently using.

In the examples I posted above, each one was done on the correct axis. For the scythe and the spear, the chamber would have been successful if the blade made contact with the wooden shaft. I can post examples of the successes if wanted. For the sword stab, chamber blocking closer to the tip like shown in the example sometimes doesn't work.

The scythe is a bit of an outlier among the game's weapons as it's the only pole-arm I know of where the head protrudes outwards perpendicularly so I don't know if that could have something to do with it. Using a regular block against only the scythe's head seems to work but a chamber will phase through it as shown. Though, in some situations the scythe's head will phase through a normal block as well but it won't do damage.
