CEO Statement regarding the release

First people complain to Callum and defenders say "Dont blame him, he's just reporting the news given to him by the higher ups" Next guys like Mexxico and DUh take complaints and we hear "Dont blame them, theyre actually here to help they are just limited in their scope as well as told to move attention to consoles by theHigher ups..".

Now its 'Dont attack Armagan.." - I dont think there are any higher ups then him...
I mean, im not saying dont attack anyone, I just dont see the point of it lmfao. They wont make a better game, and they're clearly waiting for modders to take the next step, they did, like in warband, a shell of a game, well this one is worse because its even more lackluster than warband was lmao.

There are only 2 avenues for fans to effect game development -either boycotting (not spending money on it) or vocal outrage. In this case the first option is done because Taleworlds cashed in on many long terms playerbase's good faith that they would both focus on the majority of upgrades as vocalized by the public for years as well as promise to make the PC version the primary project. The tack on sales were the casual fans who may have never played any previous title and to them -the game may seem fine enough.

So the second avenue is to be vocal about their disappointment/outrage. Generally people here have voiced it to the Devs that show up here who are also swiftly defended by White Knights ie "Dont blame X -we are so lucky that they come in here and talk about it at all !!". This is a defeatist attitude.

Is the glass half empty or half full? On one hand were finally getting a full release so I don't have to hear, "but it's in ea" on the other hand the game isn't even close to ready for full release. I mean we can barely get a new version in 2 months and ofc Taleworlds has Gamescom to get ready for so what's the chances of actually getting a new update with anything more than hotfixes? I've said this before and I'll keep saying Taleworlds is their own worst enemy.

Friends, the game has 13k players consistently, even if we dislike the terrible decisions Taleworlds has made over the production of this game, it has succeeded, it sold well and it will continue to sell. They got away with it successfully, try to boycott it all you want, they got enough numbers not to care about their players. (I'm 100% sure 70%/80% players use mods too)

Game is half done and will remain so on it's final release, the ports are just a way to grab some more money on the way out for TW. Still, I'm glad it's goimg to be out, can't wait for stable mods to finally grab on the mantle and give us something decent.

It's pointless to attack Armageddon, he doesn't comminicate with any of us since late 2000s during Warband golden age. Now, "don't attack" is stretching it a bit too far, I'm nobody to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do, I can only tell they could do better or do nothing. In this case, the better's saying nothing all things considered. Gotta wait and see what flips until the official release, it'll be underwhelming 100%, but it could be underwhelming good, or underwhelming crap... I still believe the better choice would be to prolongue this EA up to 2025 (giving them a large margin for "error") and develop as quickly as they can, if it's finished sooner, they'd be "heroes", if on date it'd be on schedule. The danger's only delaying more, but at this point there's no way they could delay past that, the hardest part of the game's done, now it's about finishing up the time consuming tasks (which it seems they won't)

PS: The reason why I'm saying that we gain more for staying quiet's because it saves us wasted time. Terco just reminded me in another topic about our ever-lasting massive list of strong suggestions going back all the way to 2015 & earlier that would win on any "democratic community voting" yet Armageddon deliberately chose to send us a FOK ALL and none of it was implemented, even worse, only a fraction of their promises and "goals" done so far. He's threading on dangerous soil, though, because this could lead the game into becoming a flop and for a second round of PR nightmare for them, which if it happens, their company'll back-track years in growth.

Taleworlds has assured I'm never buying a game from them again. An incomplete, buggy, AI broken piece of garbage is going to be sold as complete just to make extra $ on console. And AI still can't climb a ladder! :ROFLMAO:

If after BL is released is the same as it is now but with banners (i said that would be last patch before release) . I will not buy another TW game at full price. As i have said battles are great and trading is good but the other features are too basic or pointless. I loved the idea of family and having heirs but you can do it in one life time ,so generations of family is pointless. The traits are pointless every npc is pretty much the same no villains or heroes really no treachery no intrigue no one a personal level . We get rebels (that's the Treachery/intrigue) which are nothing but a spanner in the works they can't form a kingdom or get strong ,if they could that would be amazing and make the game last longer and throw some random events that make the world feel more active and dangerous.

Everything apart from war and trade is very dumbed down to pointless
Trading is one of the most boring and grinding parts of the game. Buy thing here, sell there, repeat. No competitors, no workshop upgrades, only ONE quest related to trading skill... I don't know how do people find trading to be at very least acceptable.

Only one way of playing is now more or less enjoyable, that'll be rookie hiresword-> respectable merc with a nice party ->vassal->possibly ruler. And even here it goes down to be repetitive horror as soon as you become a vassal. Everyone declares endless pointless wars and even the faction can't be destroyed without chopping everyone's heads and being hated by everyone for that.

From this point, I'd say we won't see criminal empires, upgradable workshops, any reason to explore towns and villages, feasts, interesting quests, reworked siege AI (so they won't try taking back the walls which have definitely been already taken!) different ways of ruling the Kingdom (apart from a "King and Senate" system, where your vote decides literally nothing) and many other things we've been waiting for. All hail console release.

Sometimes I wonder how MostBlunted used too look like back when Bannerlord was first announced while he was still mostly strong & sharpened.

I agree with you on trading but at the start its the fastest way to buy a workshop . Once i got money rolling in i stop trading totally .The rest of your comments i feel the same way apart from criminal empire i am not that bothered but at least it would be another avenue . Bannerlord is a shell of a game very very basic. The game looks like they had more feature planned but just stopped.

They got a taste of the console money when they released warband, now they couldn't resist with bannerlord lol. Sometimes the forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest. This is why I stopped purchasing consoles, it just ruins gaming. I definitely won't be buying another product from talesworlds after this nonsense.

lmao after Diablo Immortal and all other gacha games I wouldn't dare to say that TaleWorlds is so greedy company that wants only our wallets xD
the kids are like: omg I saved 40 bucks from my school breakfasts and bought a game I played for the last 2 years, it's too few, I want moar for those money xD

This game is not done by any means. Sorry TW, but nope. It's basically worse version of Warband (I can't forgive your chosen skill system and no difference in soldiers except armor that you finally fixed after TWO YEARS) devoid of any soul and content. Heck, I though, Warband took serious time to get done too, I believe in you. But if this game, in its current state, is what you consider finished, then you're out of touch with reality.
