So the invasion was comin and i only had like a thousand of so forest/mountain bandits in with me,BUT all my lords had like 500+ men from having so much peace,so i had them all go to Wercheg when the invasion started, once all the lords assembled,i had them all follow me to face the Imperials, like, 20 lords vs....100? and when we got there, the centurions started RUNNING from us,we had at most 3000-4000 men at most and they had 10k,but my lord were the ones chasing the centurions, its this an AI problem or do the troops not know that they can join battles.

They usually know that they can join battles, which is why when I used 300 troops 1 or 2 centurians would run away but if there were 3 they would attack.
I am guessing that the other centurians were too far away so maybe it was more like 30-50 centurians.

Individually they were weaker? Or something. AI battles are done through auto resolve which doesn't work using human reason and each of the lords didn't want to risk being beaten alone. If just one of them had the courage to attack, the rest would have been brought into the battle and they would have greatly outnumbered you.

Actually, when one of the centurions got caught by my lords, only 3-5 centurions joined, and my lord was helped by my 1000 army and 7 other lords,so the imperials got picked off in groups even when they were not seperated

Just curious, but did your faction control Wercheg or did you just want to get a handle on the situation and defeat the imperials before they had a chance to start taking over?

that is weird... I was able to get into battle with 70+ centurians.

If your lords start the battle, the centurions do not join the battle automatically, just join a battle if you want to fight centurions, but if you start a battle,or get caught by centurion, all the other centurions will automatically join the battle, wercheg was owned by my faction
