The fact they stretched across Europe indicates they may well have traded with others so..but it doesn't matter anyway because I am completely 100% noob when it comes to modelling and texturing that's why i was hoping some people would like it but no-one does so I'm just dropping it

Kukhri knives were common in south-east Asia. There are similarly curved knives found in Eastern Europe, though they are smaller and not nearly as heavy. They are different altogether and should be treated as such, and named as such (go find the name of the European Kukhri-like knives, the name evades me just now).  Ghurka's were people from south-east Asia that used a heavy, inward curved knife. The British Empire took advantage of this.
Guan_Chung is right as well, the Maharajah's of India did, in fact, field numerous Ghurka regiments.

Damn, but I'm good. A little off topic and slightly irrelevant, but I'm good.

Max

You are thinking of yataghans, which were originally used by the Ottoman Turks, but ended up being used all over the Ottoman Empire, including South-east Europe. AFAIK the earliest surviving yataghans date to the 16th century AD.  Most yataghans around now actually date to the 18th and 19th centuries.

And check out this link:

A weapon similar to the yataghan called a "sosun pata" was used in India:

I like it please don't drop it.

Well like i said i have no clue when i comes to modeling and texturing so until i learn how to do that the mods either on hold or just plain canceled. But I'm on my holidays now so I will have alot of spare time to learn how to do those things

laugh. Not constructive but expresses my reaction to this topic. Could be fun though, minus the Kukri, if you're prepared to do all the work yourself, I doubt this'll drum up much help.
