Hi I'm working on a Fantasy mod based about the wars England had with France and Ireland.I know they didn't happen at the same time but that's why its fantasy  so far all I've done is add in a few troops.I was hoping to make some sort of diplomacy skill.So Ireland could say ally with France against England, but you can cancel your alliances at any time.I also thought if we could get this working that the way u can ally yourself with others is offering gifts like pottery,furs,velvet and WINE !    I'm hoping there will be interest in this mod and any help appreciated. ANY help

just pre rennaissance would be cool or at the very start of the rennaissance, that way you can include all the cool medievial stuffs, and a bit o' rennaissance, since this mod is semi fantasy this time period would open you up to all sorts of cool stuff like experimental weapons.

Why are Kukris, a large Tibetan (For those of you bad at geography, Tibet is in the Himalayas) knife, the curved, inverted ones, being used in a mod about England fighting France fighting Ireland?

as if, sorry but really clets wouldnt have used such an awkward stupid weapon, they may hae had something similar but not kukris seriously and even if there was like 3 in all all of ireland leave them out, you just want to add them because you think they're cool.

No i don't want to add them "because they look cool" if you go to certain Irish heritage sites they show you Kurkris or as they call them there "Gurkha's".

well, kukri are indeed knives used by Gurkas. In Nepal. Why on earth would the Irish use them?! Spanish celts may have used some sort of crippled falcatas, but the Irish? The only way of seeing a kukri in Britain would be a brittish soldier bringing one home as a souvenir from the war.
Unless show some evidence, nobody on these forums will take you seriously. Some highly educated people roam around here and I'm talking military history scholars..

there's realistic, there's fantasy and then there's nonsense. Even fantasy should support it's ideas with reason. If you can think of a cool story why the irish use kukris, I guess it's ok.
