CD Key Issue.

Right, so I've had Warband installed for just about a year now, but I never actually owned my own copy. My friend had given me a CD Key, claiming it was his and he had no need of it, yet I've never been able to access Multiplayer. Just tonight, I bought the game, and I have been racking my brains as to how to actually enter my key. I downloaded the game through Steam, started the exe, and it simply loads my old CD Key... I've attempted to edit the registries, but it just seems to run my old CD key still, and I have also deleted the registry and re-installed Warband several times to no avail... Finally I've turned to here for help. Can I get any assistance, please?

EDIT: I have re-downloaded and installed the game through several methods, as well as deleted the registry several times.

EDIT: Resolved by changing my With Fire and Sword CD Key to my Warband key... Oddly enough, both games work online...

If changing the registry hasn't got you anywhere yet, I would uninstall, delete the entire WarbandKeys registry 'folder', and then reinstall.

Yes, I assumed as much.
But did you totally clear Warband keys/activation codes/hardware hashes, etc, from the registery and completely have it removed before starting over? Might also help to delete the \Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\ and %APPDATA%\Mount&Blade Warband\ folders, neither of which will be touched by an uninstall.

Now I had completely forgotten about documents! I shall give it a shot... And yes I did delete all of the hopefully required folders from the Registry.  Sorry if I'm coming across as arrogant/annoying. D:

Well, after all this trouble, I changed my With Fire and Sword key to my Warband key, and for some reason, it is now working! How odd.
