Recruit
Hello there, I've been playing native expansion for a few days and i think it's a great mod, it really adds to the original M&B! However, being accustomed to a large party of swadian knights which can be easily trained from scratch  ,i found out that there is no equivalent of a knight in the swadian initiate line. Do i have to wait until i have access to a cathedral;? Also, do other factions produce spear-wielding heavy cavalry? I've noticed that praetorian knights ride ordinary hunters and the spear knights actually don't use spears?!

You have to be a vassal or king of your own faction. Then you can recruit nobles from cities you're not at war with.

This has been asked so many times now, I start to think about making a word file with templates to answer some of these questions  :|

You can recruit nobles from any town you're at peace with once you get enough renown.  Don't think you need to be a vassal but I always am one by that stage. =3

I think it's an AI problem, if a unit has a spear they're only going to use it at the worst possible time.  IE: when not on the ****ing horse! Dx

63 - Nobles have their own troop upgrade paths and can be recruited from towns if the player is a noble themself.  Nobles can only be recruited if the player is either a monarch or a vassal.  If you are a mercenary or unaligned you cannot recruit them.[/quote]
Taken from the release thread.
I looked for it as your comment actually got me thinking and I wasn't sure anymore  :|
Oh and I like to be right

I can't, if I want to be right, as I don't really know. And I don't know, if I understand the question in the first place  :P

Do you mean other factions apart from the Swadians? And what exactly do you mean with heavy cavalry? The horses?
If you can answer both these questions with yes, then I'd say no.
Yet the Vaegir Nobles might have a lance, but I'm really not too sure here. It's been a while since I worked with/for them.

And then there are the Dark Knights of course...

Edit:
Stupid sentence. Looks better now.
