Cavalry overarm spear attack

I must admit that I never really liked the animation of the overarm attack in the shield-spear combo. Especially in the cavalry I find something strange that way of holding the spear, although I believe that the form used is correct. Facilitating attacking the enemy infantry that is in front of our horse and perhaps on the sides.

However, I think that the overarm attack animation should be this way.

It seems to me that it makes more sense to hold the spear that way, especially if you want to attack the foot troops that are very close to you. The current animation seems correct for the overarm attack of the sword, but I think it does not fit well with the spear.

The issue with having the grip like that is in the wrist. You would not be able to hold the spear like you have shown and switch to the underhand attack with the pointy end pointing toward then enemy without completely releasing your grip on the spear temporarily to switch grip. In the images you have shown, that is the only grip used during a combat and its purpose is solely to get over the top of a shield formation.
As a side tip, when you are on horseback and stopped, if the enemy is too close to strike, press spacebar to rear your horse and create enough space to get a strike in.

Thanks for the advice, I also think that the transition of animation between holding one way to another could be a problem. The solution could be to add alternative grips, but I feel that it would not contribute much to the game if both attacks would have the same utility.
Also, it should be mentioned that in Viking conquest when you use the overarm atack you keep the shield more close to you than in bannerlord. It seems that in Bannerlord you leave a lot of openness when attacking, as if you were a beginner XD

It's the issue of grip -under versus overhand. Knowing how computer animation works, my guess is that devs did this for technical reasons, not because they don't know how proper overarm spear trust should look like.

To do it properly, they would need to change grip on spear full 180 degrees. In reality, you would drop the spear, turn your hand around and grab spear again. In computer graphic, spear is attached to "bone" which is computer graphic term for key nodes that "animate" your model. If you would simply turn such node in to correct position, spear attached to it would face wrong direction. It would face backwards.

For better or worst, devs decided to solve it by using the same grip with both under and overhand spear trust animation.
