CAVALRY LANCE PRIORITY: AN EXPLANATION

That's what I'm looking for, please halp. 1 v 1 lance duel; angles, speed and shizzle please explain I don't understand it eventhough I kinda master it. May it be it's just bugged? I don't get how a lance angled (moar or less) 90º from the cav victim has priority over a straight 0º lance, where the timing of each cav would then give priority. Aren't their lenghts the same in the end, no matter the angles :?:

If the enemy lancer is 90 degrees to your right, the animation probably would give you the reach advantage against him. Because your lance is in your right hand, it makes sense to have more reach there compared to reaching over your left.

Perhaps the same is true comparing the right to the front. The only thing which the right side lacks is the large attack angle range of the left..

I think it's rather simple. You have the shortest reach when looking as far back as you can on your left side, and your reach increases as you rotate clockwise. Once you're facing straight ahead, you're at maximum reach. Turning further clockwise does not change your reach, so your reach anywhere on the right is the same as it is to the front. It's a basic trade-off of forward vs. lateral range.

That's funny because the left side always outranges both front and right. A duel between experienced cavs in close range (not charging) is always about how you use your left. Use right-front against left and you're KO. In the game front is the weakest side because you're more exposed to the other lance, but then so he would to yours...  :???:
Wonder if it's because with front against right-left side you're running into their lance, then somehow giving them the priority?
