you switch from shield up to couch in under a sec

how fast do I have to shoot my arrow to not hit his shield?

He wasn't blocking, the arrow hits the shield because of "physics".

I know, but he was blocking all the way towards me. When he switched to couch there should be a little time for open hitbox

or at least he shouldnt have been able to couch me

yes that is one of the reasons we want couch gone or nerfed to hell

passive shield block has been the bane for many archers

In warband shooting the shield would cancel any attack, dont know why they didnt add it for Bannerlord aswell, it made archery alot more interesting, like shooting into melee, instead of shooting the enemy itself you could shoot his shield mid attack to stun him.

shields on ur back actually used to protect you from archers...
i dont understand why the shields work like this "physics" but doesnt protect when its on ur back

It made archers invincible from behind to ranged while shooting, not really an interesting choice to be had by the archer, that's just where it goes and provides them huge benefits. It still reduces damage.
