Castle siege with Rhodoks. Troops can't go up the ladder.

Hi all. I've been experiencing some weird problem. Whenever I try to siege a castle, my troops get stuck on the ladder. Even when I try to hold them back, they can't come back either. They try to run but their legs simply beat the air. I can't siege any castles because of that problem because all my soldiers go one by one and simply become a prey to the enemies. If you could help me with it (I don't think there is a solution to this but, anyway.) I would really appreciate it.

Native. 1.153. So far I've tried Unuzdaq and Reindi Castles. Seems like any castle that requires a ladder to seize it causes the problem. Sorry I wasn't specific enough. I'm using Steam version.

Tried verifying files via Steam. Didn't work either. I'll try quick battle with Rhodoks and different factions to see if it's the same.

Edit: Couldn't try quick battle as both maps had siege towers.
Edit2: I've made several attempts on the same save, and it turns out to be a random situation. I've had 3 tries, one of which was with the error described above. I would still want to find out what causes it though.
