The admin team is sorry to announce that The Kingdom of Swadia dropped out of the tournament.
In order to guarantee that the empty slot was occupied we quickly procceeded to look for another clan/team which would be willing to participate. In that search, we fortunately found out that Darkcloud was interested. For that reason, they will now be added to the tournament.

The team order seems to be a little odd, DoF and AE are paired up every single set and so are Wolfpack and Castellans. It seems strange that some teams would stay paired like that yet others play alongside every other team and aren't locked to another.
As an alternative how about:
This combination ensures each team mixes with 6 of the other teams twice and never mixes with a single other team.

ABEF vs CDGH
ACEG vs BDFH
ADFG vs BCEH
This combination ensures every team mixes with every other team at least once and never four times.
ABCD vs EFGH

I think DoF and AE seems to be pretty equal to Castellans and Wolfpack. I think its fair.

I don't mind the pairing, it's just that not every team has a permanent pair like that and some get to experience playing with every one of the seven teams while others only play with 5 of the teams. Additionally it means that the only difference between the final scores for the paired teams comes out of kills.

I haven't yet randomized the teams that have signed up to the placeholders "Team A, B ...". So it might not be DoF and AE that are always paired. But you are right, one team is always paired with one other team and 2 teams will be always opponents in the current solution.
I like the idea you suggested, but there is one condition that isn't taken into account. I searched for a solution in which the teams start equally in the first round on each map as defenders or attackers. Cause I think it might be a difference if you always start as defender first on each (new) map. If you take this condition into account, you would need to have at least 14 rounds (2 on each map) to fully counter balance all teams.
Sadly, we have only 8 rounds and so far I know there is no chance to get this problem fixed with 8 rounds.
But if the admins and (most) of the participating teams agree that we can ignore the positioning (attacker vs. defender) in the first round on each map, I am up for using your second suggestion:

AHCF vs BGDE
Although Team A will always start as defender in the first round of each map.
Alright, what do the participating teams think? Is it a greater disadvantage 'not to be paired with every team during the tournament' or 'to start as a defender on each (new) map'?

Yes, Swadia quitted yesterday and there was a free slot. But I fear Darkcloud was faster and already signed in.
But we appreciate that Kurwa signed in too. In the case another team quits Kurwa will get the free slot and we guarantee a save slot for the next tournament for sure.
Got a few changes to DoF's roster coming soon, still have to check some ID's and confirm with some people. Should have it done sometime today!

The Brothers can start defender each map if they want, it's all they know anyway.
