Firstly:
-This is my first attempt at cartoons. Please be gentle.
-I love the game, I am just making a point about a bit that needs a little, er, 'polish'.
-On the offchance the cartoon is too subtle, it is a comment about the incompetence of the your trrops without your leadership.
-The problem may have been fixed by now; I haven't tried the 'middle option' since v0.632 for the same reasons I made this cartoon.
-Now I've finished, enjoy!

Rest assured, you're still better off avoiding the middle option...

I guess it's a method of making the player more important (other systems in the game, like Party Skills, place an emphasis on this as well), but yeah, your men still tend to get slaughtered without you on the field...

I think the middle option should come with a prompt:

"Are you REALLY sure? This will kill most of your men. (Y/N)"

I've lost count of the times I accidentally pressed the middle button and had to reload a saved game.

Add another fool to that... just don't add the reload as I play my games with mistakes and all (accidentally killed the nobleman? tough luck on me).

There's no luck involved in the second option. Your troops go in, and those who are really fit make it. The rest will not make the same mistake again. Surely you don't expect them to fight well without you?

Actually, I think that some of them are leaving, and you just mark them down as dead.

Oh, I thought it was a reference to the fact that the yellowbellied saharan lizard (which hunts Lions after all) was a fierce creature; it seemed rather odd to me.

Yeah, that's pretty good for a first time, but perhaps you should get something better for the middle option, like some pesants slaugthering some knights or somehting.

There should be a 'are you sure' prompt, because it is somewhat easy to accidentally click on the middle option instead of the top one, and it is a useless option as well - since you don't get some quest flag for it, don't get as much EXP, don't get as many items, and your 40 knights DO get slaughtered by 10 peasants ::\
