"The frontier played a vital part in South Carolina’s early history. For well over its first hundred years South Carolina was a frontier colony, and most of her inhabitants, red, white, and black, worked incessantly to wrest subsistence from land and forest. As early as the 1690s South Carolina "cowboys" were grazing and herding beef cattle in the backcountry. The Palmetto State’s frontier history is also a story of Indian traders, forts, warfare, and diplomacy." -From- http://www.palmettohistory.org/exhibits/cherokee/cherokeeintro.htm

The Carolina Frontiersmen 'Carolina's Boys' is an unstructured group of militia whose sole purpose is to protect the land they hold dear - Carolina. This group is based off of the various independent companies raised in the 17th century to safe guard the inhabitants of local British settlements.

We do not have a teamspeak and this is a very casual group, this is so that if anyone who is not interested in joining a regiment or clan and would still like to be a part of something can have the ability to embark on glorious adventures without the need for anything. If there does come a time when someone would like to make a proper fighting unit out of this, I will consider it, but until then I shall keep it nice and simple.
