Caravan not appearing?

Hi, I just downloaded the new version of Mount and Blade after a while of not playing it. And I bought the full version...

But when I go the first mission to escort a caravan the caravan never appears on the map. I cant figure out of this is a bug or if I have to do somehting to get it to appear in the new version? I accepted the mission, usually when I leave town the caravan is there waiting for me in the old version.

Is it bugged? Or is it different now?

It seems like a bug, I have th problem once in a while - to prevent this i save before asking for a mission and reloads if there's a problem.

Yup, I've seen this too. And it's pretty consistent, it seems. Ie., if you save, and you get a faulty mission, the mission is always faulty in that town each time you reload. But if you leave, do some adventuring and then get back, or go to another town, it should be ok. The same goes for all mission related bugs, I've found.

Oh, and I've also found out (and I'm fairly sure of my findings) that if you're on a rescue kidnapped girl quest, and the quest log tells you to return her to the town the bandits were near (instead of the town where you got the mission), it's a faulty mission and the girl will not leave your party. If the quest log tells you to bring the girl back to the merchant who gave you the mission, however, you're good to go.

Those are my findings so far, anyway.
