Capturing nobles

i've been having problems capturing noble's, but recently i started sending my troops alone, using this method the noble has been captured every time (tested 3-4 times). What i am wondering is if anyone else has had this, or if this is just a statistical fluke.

I've never been able to catch a noble yet so I will try that I guess.

I usually use that method when I don't carry blunt weapons. But right now since I am a Couching fiend I just equip a jousting lance, tell my troops to hold position, knock the nobleman unconscious for 158 or so, and tell my troops to charge! You could always try to knock him out with your horse to. I've done that once.

I could use the jousting lance I know but I always want to kill what I hit, so I will always be lousy at capturing guys. But I'm not complaining, there are plenty of other things to do.
