Can't save Noldor units?

So I was patrolling around in the area where the Jatu spawn and came upon one with some Noldor prisioners. I fight the Jatu and win to find that in the screen where you take prisoners and recruit the people you saved that the Noldor troops were gone. I am using PoP for warband with its patch. Was this a change on purpose from the PoP that was for regular M&B?

you can't recruit prisoners above lvl 41

You can't recruit them that way.  The only way to get Noldor troops is take a qualis gem to the guy in Laria.

Nope you can't recruit them and its a good reason you can't or players would have a easy time winning their battles unless its against some D'shar lord heh, running into that with light cavalry isn't ideally the best thing to do.

This question belongs under the "Questions about Strategy and Gameplay" topic already established.  PLEASE don't start new topics when others are already in place to deal with questions of this sort.  If you had read the FAQ concerning the recruitment of Noldor and any others at level 41 or above, you'd not have need to make this topic.  The stickied thread,
"READ BEFORE POSTING - FAQ" deals with many questions of this sort.
