Well i vassaled myself to king harlaus, but now, i want to start my own kingdom, but also want to keep my lands (wich is teh...castle (wood nord castle), kundarr castle and sargoth (bloody battle i single handedly had to do) in hope he would give it to some one else and i could use the option (you have been wronged, blah blah blah, to my surprise he gave sargoth to me..

then i wen for wercheg wich took a few days, but took it with very little casualties, and he finnally gave it to baron klargus, but my only option this time was "Continue...", why can't I rebel against him? i dont want to say "i want to be released from my oath" since that way i would lose sargoth and all my other lands, and i also don't want to start a war with swadia and lose all my garrisoned troops

whats up with this? is it suposed to be like this??

Are you sure that when you captured you choose "Ask Wercheg to be awarded to you" instead of "Ask no rewards"?

more than sure.. did it for 4 times... wercheg, all nord castles, tihr, and uxhal (belonged to rhodoks), most of the time he simply gave them to me, but Tihr, uxhal and 1 castle he did not, and i asked for them...

maybe i should have no fiefs, or very few, then figh a lot, and get no rewards, so there is a reason, altough on native i rebelled as soon as i saw he didn't offered it to me...

i still kept the save game, and i hope for an answer,  i proceeded with the usual "release me from my oath" option and started my own kingdom (managed to get 1 guy with narra + castles.... honour FTW  )

Seems that the problem is also reported on single player Forums:

http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,154100.0.html

Not sure if the person who reported is also using Diplomacy.

If not, this is not a mod issue but a bug from Native.

I believe I will never have this problem because I follow the hard path: trader -> vassal of Swadia -> regain and expand their territory but not too much -> release from oath and lose all my properties -> besiege my first nord castle and become the newest king of Caldaria.
If you are worried about a 1000+ army right into your door when you capture your first castle:

- First fight the enemy on the open; make "false sieges" just to attract them, try to ambush just 3-4 lords each time and not the whole army, etc.
- When you see you have weakened them enough, capture the castle, drop all your troops there and desperately go after recruits to fill the castle and give you battle advantage.
- If the enemy comes anyway, be sure to capture one who has not a big opening on the ladder (most don't have, but there are a few unlucky exceptions). Grab a 150 reach polearm, stay not too close but not too far from the ladder's entrance (but covered with the wall so their archers don't hit you) and begin to attack the enemy.

thats the (very long road) and to simply release yourself from an oath...well might as well not join a faction, but i guess u do get rep of all this

Find the claimant of your current kingdom, take up his cause, ditch him immediately, voila you are now King!
