Can't marry companions who are now lords

Just tested the new feature out where you can make companions nobles etc, but discovered that you still can't marry them. Is this set in stone or will this feature change?

Well, you usually can't marry clan leaders right? you probably can marry other members of their clan or marry members of your clan to theirs and vice versa (women always join the clan of their husbands unless it's the player)

If they are leaders they will not change either, like Mesui of the Khergit.
