Can't import my character

Hey folks,

I did a search of the forums but I'm not seeing anything on this.

I've created a character I enjoy playing but made some very powerful enemies who are currently crushing my like a tin can.

I'd like to export my character and then import him into a new game so I don't make the same mistakes.

I can export my character fine (Character -> Statistics -> Export Character) but when I start a new game and try to import my old character it tells me there's no character to import.

Any ideas?  Can anyone point me to where the file is created so I can check permissions on it?

Ah - fool that I am I came across the character export folder and lo and behold, instructions.  I didn't name the character Sir Ouchipants (my exported chars name).

Got it now.
