Hi,
I just got this game and I like to configure all my control options to my liking. Am I missing something?

I can't find the Run and Crouch keys.

I find it strange. I can see not having a crouch key if your not sneaking around but a run key to me seems most useful when trying to get out of harms way quickly.

Please tell me they are there and I am just missing it in the controls configuration.

If this game does not have them, is there a MOD that makes them work or a workaround I can do to make Run and Crouch functions?

This should probably be in the Aprentice bit but who gives a damn!

Crouching dosnt exit and running is exactly what you get when you press the 'w' or forward button key. Theres no sprinting, so sorry to be the one to dissapoint. I believe their was a crouching mod made back for 0.906 or somrthing like that, could be wrong. Do a search for it, might help.

If you want to run faster put points into agility and then into the running skill, the name I cant remember at this moment.

There is none, you does jog in combat or that is what it looks like for me, but build up agility and you become faster I notice a small difrence with my faveruite armour. (does not recall its name) But chrouching I belive there was a mod for an .XXX version where had it.

There's a walk key, but the usefulness of it is rather low.
For some reason it's bound to shift, which is also zoom.

pii100 thats not a walk button, its just zoom, if you had a bow you couldnt run whilst aiming accuratly
No, Shift is the walk button, and the zoom button.

Also, aiming whilst run, IRL, isn't as hard as it sounds.

Thanks for all the great answers guys.

So later on I will move faster with faster agility just like Oblivion and Morrowwind games. It kinda looks like they used the same engine as morrowwind or they cloned the engine after the morrowwind engine. (Morrowwind and Oblivion being my Top all time favorite games and i'm a hard core FPS fan.) I cant wait for the next game from Tale Winds !

I will look for the crouch patch ( I hope it works in this version) and reassign my walk key to see if it makes any difference.

Looking around I'm blown away by all the mods for this game. Vortex mentioned that Extended Gameplay III has a sprint key. I will try that also.

...

Are you sure you are on the right forum?  Just wondering.

Tale Winds?
Oblivion?
hehehe.

Oblivion doesn't even come close to the complexity of the Mount&Blade combat system.

As for Running and crouching; characters are always in a constant running motion at a steady pace. There is unfortunately no sprint key.
However, if you remap the zoom key to a different button, you can press shift to walk.

There is also unfortunately no crouch/climb animation either.

I find it funny how naive you seem.

Why?  Of course i may seem naive to you, I DID just start playing as I've already said, and the engine to me Does resemble Morrowwind..At least in the beginning with the character set up.. I am not the first person to mention this

O.k. perhaps it doesn't compare to oblivion very much but I will have to find that out as I play.. So far I do notice the fighting is a little more advanced in terms of how you attack and defend yourself. I just finished the training nothing more yet. It's gonna take me a while to get into this deep enough to see all the things you old time users take for granted.

TaleWorlds, TaleWinds, gee pick on a guy for making a lousy typo in the middle of Hot Posting Excitement

Everybody who says this is fecking blind. I've had people tell me this IRL and I've read it in reviews and forums posts here and there, but I've never seen it.
