Summary: Usually you can compare easily the quality of weapons. However, if a crafted polearms with a very high slashing damage (like a polearm with the warrazor head) has a couch lance component; the game will not compare the usual slashing component but the very bad couch lance component. So the equipment that you have already equipped will show the bad couch lance stats, and compare it to the good normal mode stats. Moreover, if you craft the weapons they will have the same value even if one is much better (for example legendary polearms)
How to Reproduce: Make a certain number of warrazor-2 handed polearm with some with legendary stats and couch lance option. Try to compare which one is the best one, quite a difficult endeavor as when you equip one it will not compare the slashing component side by side with another polearm when you hover over it.
