Can't be a vassal of Neill

For some reason i can't become a vassal of the Neill's. 

When i talk to Domnaill mac Aedo, i don't get the option of "offering my sword in vassalage."  I can seemingly offer my sword to other Irish "kings," but not him.

I have a 6 relation to him, and am not on any claimant quest and have not offered to be a vassal of anyone else.  He did lose a lot of territory to some wars and just has 1 city and 2 "castles," so mayb he doesn't have the land to offer me to be vassal, but i didn't think that figured into it.


Any Ideas?  I downloaded this mod specifically to be a vassal of the Neills, as my family's ancestors are the Neill.

It is rare, you should can, like with others kings. Somebody more have this problem?

ok, i think i found the source of the problem.  i was talking to him when he was at a castle, and talked to him there, which gave me no option to "offer my sword."

however, by chance after trying him in his castle for the hundredth time, he walked out into the field, and i talked to him again, and when he was out off the castle i had the option to "offer my sword."
