Open cant activation

hi got the game to day from steam and cant get past this piont.
seen loads of other people in this form and steam help having the same problem and cant use eather option and cant past the screen shot as i am a new user on the form

Have you installed any modification? Steam handles activation automatically.

no only base game to get it to work, then i add mods as i know that mods can brake the games as i play a lot of the total war games.

What is the version you are seeing when launched?

1.143 tried instaling twice and verafing the files as that can couse problems/fixs problems as i had this with stronghold so tried other ways i know what to do.

Can you capture a picture of the error message you see? Also can you send me your cd key via PM so i can check it
