I have the same issue. I have 6x4 format product code from Steam which won't work on any activation method...

On Steam, I haven't been able to play any games on my new temp laptop with Win 10. It is really sad that Steam, as a popular game platform, offers absolutely 0 support for issues that are clearly related to it and not the games

Could I activate the game with the key somehow, though?

Some old and local formatted game keys are not supported by Steam. This is because of local versions of some of our games was in retail. But Steam only accepts one type of game keys.

Are you guys able to generate a new one that we can activate on steam? I have one as well, actually i bought, M&B, M&B WFAS and M&B Warband, warband was the only one that didnt work.

I got this fixed. The Steam version started working, so no need anymore.
