In Progress Cannot engage in a battle within City interaction confines

I am guarding a caravan. A group of looters appeared the second the caravan left the city they went into. I can not enter the combat, because the location of the combat is inside of the city confines. If I click with the mouse, I just enter the city. Moving with keyboard doesn't allow me to engage with the combat.
