Heh, Canadian politics areactually more interesting than the U.S. - we have two dominant parties, but we also have smaller ones that can hold their own - the fact that they can make a coalition is actually pretty cool. The U.S. is a pathetic system in that you basically vote for who you hate less- no doubt 30% of the Democrats vote for them only because they symbolize everything non-Republican. If tons of smaller parties were made, it'd be a real democracy.
As it is, every 4 years Americans hold a "alright guys, let's pretend to be democratic and make the effect of 'choice'." If you wanted to be in a true democracy, you would have the people voting on every decision- that's a ridiculous concept, but its better than having 80% of America wanting Bush out of power, but sitting back idly and making comic strips about him.
Sure, you can vote him out, but 4 years of destructive policies are a lot to wait for.
