Can You Win the Game Without Becoming King?

It says in the victory conditions that there can only be one kingdom remaining. Does this mean that instead of starting my own kingdom I can just assist one in wiping out the others? Also if you have good relations with lords in one kingdom when you declare independence will they join you?

1. I think so.. yes..
2. You can Ask em to join you and if they have good relations with you they will.

EDIT: Loyal Lords Won't come with you even if you have good relations with them

Yes, you can win the campaign without having to be the big macho man in charge. For the second question, you need to ask them. Some lords will never leave their liege however, it's just how their wired, and some are very difficult to change over (Usually the honorable lords).
