Is there any warband server hosting, paid or otherwise?, i'd really like my own server.

Then the current reply to your question is "No, not right now".
As the game is still in beta, server files are somewhat "secret", so no server hosting company can have it currently. Once the game is released, you can most likely rent some servers as easily as you can with other games (by paying per player slot or however they charge you for the server).
You will have to wait for the official release date (30.3) though, and then probably a few more weeks/month(?). The only alternative would be to rent a server and install warband yourself, you can estimate about 50€ to 100€ per month for that.

Spanky was the first person to get the server files, and he's hosting several servers for several people. Good for him. He also wrote the guide on how to properly set up your own server if you have the capabilities to do so.
Seeing as how you don't have the capabilities, that's too bad. But really, is it so different renting from Spanky than renting from Gameservers.com or some similar company? You have a "contract" but contract law exists for a reason: contracts aren't a guarantee. You might get screwed by Spanky, but is it in his best interest to screw you? He keeps getting paid so long as you stay satisfied with his service. Same as any other company. A contract is just something you can use against the company (and that the company can use against you) if something goes wrong. In fact, a contract can be detrimental to your relations with a service provider. You might be having a problem but your contract states that they aren't required to fix your problem. So then it comes down to whether or not they want to fix your problem and keep your business. Spanky would probably help you fix your problem so he can keep your business. It's good for his checking account if you keep renting his servers, so why would he want to screw you out of a deal and lose that income? It's not in his best interest. It's not in Gameservers' best interest to screw you either, but you just get a contract that makes it easier for them to screw you and leaves you with an agreement that you won't sue them if they screw you in certain ways.
In any case, Spanky only hosts EU servers, so if you wanted an EU server I'd recommend getting one from him. Or, you can get a separate PC to use as a server (that's the best way). Then you can have one box running the server and only minimal other software so you get top efficiency around the clock, and you get your own PC that doesn't have the extra stress on it. In any case, if you can't provide your own solution right now, you're out of luck. The game isn't out yet, so it isn't a good business decision to invest in purchasing the proper licensing to provide servers for the profit of 3rd parties. It might not be very popular on release (in the minds of these 3rd parties), so it could potentially be wasteful if they purchased the licensing and then didn't have very many leases.
Not to mention the developers haven't finished the server files either. If a third party were to invest in licensing and host Warband on their own servers, if a new patch came out they would have to update all of the servers. Considering the rate at which patches are coming out (a day to two weeks, usually) that would be very aggravating. There's plenty of room for error in a situation like that and it isn't good for anyone.

First thing i am pretty full and i am not intressted in renting out more servers =) for the moment, or probably till next year.
Secondly thanks for saying such nice things about me everyone. Also server renting is a hobby for me and i am not exactly doing it for earning tons of money... the time i spend and the risk i took/taken = not most profitbale bussiness
... but its fun.
I actually never planed out to rent out servers it just happend... i got reqvests on renting my 22nd server, then bla bla community grew and suddenly i had tons of people wanting to rent servers lol...
Also i think those who rented servers from me took HUGE risk on trusting somone random on the internet... i still cant belive how people dear to send soo much money and rent from me... i still strongly suggest one should NEVER send money to somone random on the internet.. better rent from a gaming company... thought they cost 3-4 x the price i offered lol...
i dont want to scam anyone it is unmoral by me and i cant do it.. i have only stolen one thing in my life and that was a lolipop when i was a kid.. and i regreat it... also i already invested 1500 euro's on servers... i got no use for the machines for personal use so why should i shut the machines down you see?
Also one more reason for the servers for beeing cheap is that the machine is "shared" by many people at once, its not private... = not the best thing on earth... but yes = cheaper prices.... but anyone could dmg machine or steal passwords and sabotage etc... but eveyrone is honrable and i hope this wont happen.. now i am tired and going to bed good night
oh one more thing, i calculated the electricty prices a few days ago, well at least the swedish electricty prices are high.. but for me 1 year having server up costs around 170-210 euros a year!! only on electrcity for 1 PC... now i run 6 servers on same PC, if each one of these people had their own machines it would be such a waste now its all shared and i earn money they save money.. we all gain on it.. its joint work... i think its good we are all happy... everyone earns on it..
