I haven't been able to get the ship thing to work yet and I haven't tired it for some time.
What I've read is that the benefits seem really small. Pretty much just looting bandits.
But what about the ships the bandits are on? Can I capture those ships and sell them? Can I sell my own ship? Seems that getting a ship would be potentially more lucrative with the ability to capture and sell any ships I conquer.
