Sorry if this has been posted.  I've been looking for 2 days.

Okay I am currently a woman in m&b warbands. I want to start a kingdom. But
don't know if I should without being married.  And if I am will
My husbands army come with me?

You can start a kingdom any time you want. I don't know if it's possible to get married to someone outside your faction so getting married after you start the kingdom might be difficult.

If you're already married when you rebel or whatever, your husband will probably join you if you ask since presumably you have a very high relation with him. It's not guaranteed, though - if he's a big fan of his current king you may end up meeting up with him on the battlefield.

You can also try to talk your husband into breaking his oath to the king and start your kingdom that way. Again, if he's got a good relation with the king he may keep his oath.

You won't be able to marry anyone once you become queen (except a lord of your own faction, either by recruiting enemy lords or converting a companion).  I made this mistake, courting Emir Hiwan and accepting his marriage proposal, then starting my own faction before the feast/wedding could take place.  Talking to him after becoming a Queen was no different to talking to any other lord I had good relations with, until I re-joined the Sultanate and we were wed.

So yeah, either marry someone before starting your own Queendom, or recruit them to your Queendom before marrying them.  Tis a shame, sealing alliances through marriage was commonplace back in feudal times.

Marriages are broken in Warband. They should rework each faction and have different houses *mini factions* in each faction. It would make it much more realistic for rebellions / alliances.

You can rejoin an existing faction after starting your own? Do you just talk to a ruler? And what happens to all your lords and fiefs?

I know in M&B if you conquered territory without swearing vassalage then swore vassalage you were able to keep all of your lands, it just got converted into a faction is all.

AND you lose all companions that you had turned into lords, for good (they become vassals of the faction you join).
