OK, we're all kissed and made up and, if you have kicked every other faction to the curb, I still would love a cut scene showing the coronation of the new Emperor.

Ok - I said this before somewhere else - but I'm sure I got a very good tip from a reliable source that there is a set of dormant code in the game for some such cutscene. I don't read game code so I can't verify - but I think it's there - I dont think it has been activated because it goes against the sandbox principle of the game.

The game doesn't take aging into account. I think it should. The question is, if it did, would you want to play for, say 80 in-game years, to see your character or one of your companions die of age? Still, might have been interesting...

I was just going to mention that. I found it when I was installing the 'SoundRound-ing' mod. I thought: 'oh cool, a coronation ogg file. I can't wait to hear this play in game when I.....' You cannot imagine my disappointment....

If you look at the module system code that Taleworlds released, Mount & Blade has a lot of surprisingly sophisticated/detailed mechanics that are disabled or hidden from the player. There is a script that applies age-related stat loss and appearance changes (with different people aging better than others), but it's only used at the start of the game. That probably makes sense since you wouldn't expect someone to play the same campaign for in-game decades, but you could call it once per year to make characters age as the calendar advances.
You would have to handle death on your own, though.
