Tbh I think he means a savegame where dyeworks are built in every city (Except the one Rhodok one, but I sometimes even build there and just tell the guy to hold on to everything so I can get it some other time). Atleast I think that's what he's talking about, and for me atleast after getting all the businesses set up, that's when the game REALLY starts.
I don't time it but just getting that all together probably takes around 100 days ingame, for me always more. However I'm sure someone could do it under 50 days ingame, I would just have to question the difficulty you're playing on, as all those tournaments you're winning would be super easy. How many hours is that in real life? Five hours, maybe more, maybe less depending on how many battles you've gotten into, or if Curaw gets sacked by Nords or Tulga is putting out like a loose whore. xD
I can see why he wouldn't want to do this. Now that I think about it I even don't want to do this everytime I start a new game.
Edit: Sorry I didn't read his second post, AlxGvr, if you just want to test features do as Ogrecorps said, throw all your money in the bank and press space bar, or sleep at the inn. Not 100% sure but Shariz might still give exp from interest as well, so just throw a couple thousand in the bank, sit on your ass for a bit and hold space bar, not only will you level up quickly but get a bunch of money to boot. The towns will give large ammounts of money too, but make sure to throw it into coastal towns, ones inland tend to get.. poor.
