Can not ransom enemy Lords?

Hi all

I have two Khergit Lords as prisoners, I'm not a Vasall of Swadia yet, but I'm fighting for their king, and my relationship to Khergit Khanate is pretty bad (Swadia and KK are at war, I helped capture a castle and raided a Khanate village).

Why can I not ransom these two Khanate Lords at the nearest broker? The dialoge option doesn't come up.

Does the war have to end first?

Please use the search function. Your question has been answered many times before.



Lords are not ransomed off with brokers. Just hold onto them. Eventually you'll receive an offer from the lord's faction (family?) for a few thousands denars.

The search function is badly broken. When I search "Ransom Lords" or both terms independently in "This Board" I get results from boards all across the forum, but no relevant answer.

Thanks for answering, anyway. Just don't assume by default people are too stupid to search - I'd rather see the search fixed so it really only gives results from the board you are currently viewing.

It does give you results from the board you are currently viewing, or the thread you are currently viewing, depending.

When viewing the Apprentice Guild, I searched "ransom lords" and got this:

I don't know what causes this, but on two out of three searches, the board gives me results from more than the board I'm currently in. When I searched "ransom lords" I thus found topics about "Lords and Realms" and other mods.

Thanks for giving me the answer and the help, but you can believe me not finding stuff isn't always just a matter of being too stupid or lazy to search.

I have trouble with the search function too often. The search should not calculate relevancy on how many times one of the words is being mentioned in the text, but whether or not these words are in the title. Sometimes I search specifically for two words from the title and find that topic on the second or third page or something .

It can take quite a while for the lords to be ransomed, and they can also escape by themselves, so if you have a castle or town, you can put them in prison there with the 'station garrison' button, then putting them in there just like you garrison normal soldiers. It really reduces the chance of them escaping.

if you are using the search button on the upper left of the page, you are taken to a more advanced search, down at the bottom(past my screen so i don't see it normally) is a check box that says "check all" its right above the search button that most people don't use because simply pressing enter works just as well. right above this is some coloured text which reads "choose a board to search in, or choose all", unfortunately it looks like a link, not a search option, so most people will ignore it as irrelevant. also, if you are like me and have java script and other web features disabled for security, you can't use it anyway
and it defaults to search all

its easier to use the little embeded search feature on the upper right.
