Can lords help you in siege combat?

When I telle the lords to follow me and I start besieging a castle, they wait just next to the castle, but when I order the assault im alone.. is it possible to get them to help me? I sure can help them if they ever are assaulting a castle..

Maybe if you order one of them to start the siege instead? I know that they can call you to take part in a siege, but otherwise...

Ya but then you wont get the credit for taking the castle would you?

why would you want to take a castle in the first place? if you can take it, anyone can take it.

If you are a marshall or something like that the lords will come to your aid.

If they like you enough. You need to have good relations with a Lord to have them jump in and assist you in a battle or siege, even if you are the Marshall.

I think they don't help you at all unless you're a marshall, regardless of relations. It's a bit annoying.

If they are almost youre best friends they will help you if they dont have something more "important" to do.
